Humane All to Humane

Take it from me?

Never.

steely vice grip-

Of cold hands.

Ice man?

Shattered?

Never.

Steal it.

Thieves

Sleeves

That hide.

I’ll shake you down

Until it drops

Dead.

A new

Loose

Noose.

Mine is Me

Together like leaf and tree.

Ever green

Sharp holly

To approach is folly…

I am just made for the wreath.

Lay me down, and let me be.

Or, lie with me,

Putrid?

get rid.

Oh the circle…

You can’t break it.

Ring

Sing

From the tops of once pristine, snowy roofs,

now sullied, with the prints of Heifer’s hooves.

Give an inch

Take with a pinch,

Forget to mention

Nothing.

Play a long, lone game,

Like the lion, tame.

Never though,

Give up the wild.

It lies not

in the flush of the brain,

Or the proud fluff of the mane.

Its elsewhere,

Over….

There.

Over

Man.
