'For You Are Failing'

 Poetry Galleries

Alveoli wilting in the Morning

For you, you are failing, wailing yawning;

Iron lungs are a poor thought really

Rusting as the blood is quickly meeting,

Seeping a little, the morsel’s are now fleeting.

Jasmine blotched, the petals stale.

I don’t need this.

I dream in Japanese mostly

Running away, into the rain.

It’s heavier there, but life is,

life is less pressing, Slower even.

Evening contemplation, lasting a lifetime.

Rural, old, overly Idealized.

All this because, I can not face you.

It’s just such Fakery,

So I ran into the Bakery,

Rather than say, ‘hello’.

For you are falling apple falling

Daily peeling

Dying is feeling

Don’t you know, I can not cope?

I have only nonsense, with which to sooth you.

So much nonsense. Will that be enough?

I shall pray, pray that it is. But, I hate your God.

I can try though, for trying is empty:

Kneel, and murmur, yes, In every tongue.

  1. I don't see the muddle, looks like the author is trying to set something up as an excuse, to not have to deal with what is going on. And they author comes across as not very likable, cowardly, they whole attempt to set up a poetic illusion is abandoned, and admitted as a fake, an attempt to be pompous about something as basic as a fear of facing up to someone, abadoning the 'fakery' they run into the bakery, a simple ridiculous act of avoidance! quite funny, as is the whole religious theme towards the end, as well as the self absorbtion, its all about the author, but it shouldn't be, we are all a bit prone to that I think!

  2. Sentimental.

Brooding reaction, to some gloom incrutition. I think it's hysterical.

  3. This seems a bit muddled, and the 'fakery' 'bakery' rhyme seems out of place for its... childishness? Or there may be a reference there I'm not getting. I recognise the sentiment however.
